A Note from the Studio

A Note from the Studio

Posted by Suzi Roher on

There are things you make because someone asks for them. And then there are things you make because they won't leave you alone.

For forty years, I have been making the second kind.

The belts came first — handcrafted, Italian leather, the kind of piece you reach for every day for a decade, and it only gets better. Then the scarves: each one an original artwork, modal and silk printed in Italy, designed in this studio with the same restlessness that started everything.

More recently, the graphic tees. Because the same image that lives on a scarf deserves to live on a body differently. Because art shouldn't only have one form.

This space — what we're calling the Wrap — is where we'll write about all of it. Not announcements. Not promotions. Just the thinking behind the making. What inspires a collection? What it means to dress with intention. The women who wear these pieces and why they reach for them.

My daughter Samantha and I run this business together. We share a sensibility and an argument that good dressing is not about following — it's about knowing yourself well enough to choose what belongs.

We'll write here the way we talk in the store: honestly, with warmth, and with the conviction that the pieces you live with longest are the ones that were made to last.

We're glad you're here.
