Paris, 1945: a magazine founded on a mix of fashion, beauty, lifestyle and women's empowerment, which grew from there into a worldwide media brand. The artwork keeps the optimism of those earliest covers — colour used bravely, faces looking straight out, the masthead running off the edge of the square. Mustard, forest, cream, stacked and overlapping. An entire magazine rack, folded down into cloth.
